2002 - PLANTING WILLOW
Unable to satisfy his love of bat making using English willow alone, Lachlan soon expanded Fisher Bats to start producing his own Australian willow in Gippsland, Victoria. The result was the new Hog OzBlade range, born from a vertically integrated bat making process which was uniquely Australian and well ahead of its time.

In this photo, Lachie can be seen harvesting wood from one of his own cricket bat willow trees. Botanically named salix alba caerula, the wood from this tree is light and tough, making it ideal for bat making.
2017 - NEW WORKSHOP
Lachlan moved to new premises in the country at Lismore, Victoria in May.
